Bisher wurde der Score of the Year-Award von unseren Lesern der vergeben (letztmals für das Jahr 2000). Da jedoch in den letzten beiden Jahren die Teilnahme stark zurückgegangen ist, hat sich die Redaktion entschieden, für den Score of the Year-Award 2001 eine Jury aus 8 Mitgliedern zu bilden, die den Gewinner wählen sollten. Dabei wurde wie folgt vorgegangen: Im ersten Durchgang konnte jedes Mitglied 3 Filmmusiken nominieren. Aus theoretisch 24 CDs hatte die Jury in einem weiteren Durchgang den Sieger zu küren, wobei jedes Mitglied seine 5 Top-Scores aus den nominierten Scores wählen konnte. Ob dieser Modus in Zukunft bestehen bleibt, liegt letztlich an EUCH, den Lesern. Kommentare, und Anregungen sind daher sehr willkommen!
